Day 2 of your Exciting safari, Transfer from Entebbe to Lake Mburo National Park
After having an early breakfast, you will take a three-hour drive to south west of Kampala to Lake Mburo National Park. Enter this savanna grassland and woodland national park with a game drive in the mid-morning and be blessed with sights of Elands, Zebras, Impalas, Giraffes, Warthogs, Elands, Cape Buffalos and many tropical bird species. You will have lunch at the lodge. Besides mammals in Lake Mburo, you will be blessed with watching birds like pelicans, heron, cranes, and cormorant, and fish eagle, common and green buls among others. You will have your dinner and overnight at Mpogo Lodge
Day 3: A Wonderful Morning walking safari in Lake Mburo National park and transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest-Transfer time is 4 hours.
After having an early breakfast, go for a morning safari walk in Lake Mburo national park. This park is famous for walks inside and around the park on foot where you can see long horned cattle of Ankole community which can mix freely with Zebras, Impalas, Giraffes, Warthogs, Elands, Cape Buffalos and many tropical bird species. Checkout of Lake Mburo national park and embark on a road trip to western Uganda, aiming the Gorilla land of Bwindi Impenetrable forest National park. The drive takes you through different features to include tropical rain forests, savannah fields and the terraced hills of Kigezi famously known as the Switzerland of East Africa. Drive to the lodge for relaxation as you wait for the next day’s adventure with dinner and overnight at Broadbill Safari Camp
Day 4: Unforgettable Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest and Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park .
After breakfast, you will head to the park headquarters for briefing by park ranger guides, to start Gorilla trekking – the activity can last up 2 to 6 hours trek to find the Mountain Gorillas as you hike up and down the slopes with dense mist covered vegetation. This active quest will eventually bring you to the face of one of the most sought-after creatures-the mountain Gorillas. Upon reaching them, you will have a full hour with them while observing and learning their behavior as you take photos. You will later transfer to Ishasha in the Northern part of Queen Elizabeth national park, arriving in the evening. You will have dinner and overnight at Pumba Safari Cottages
Day 5: Memorable Morning game drive in Northern Queen Elizabeth National Park and afternoon boat cruise on Kazinga Channel.
You have an early morning breakfast and then go for a morning game drive in Queen Elizabeth National park. Anticipate to see members of the famous big five including Buffalos, Elephants, Lions and other mammals like Wart hog, Bush bucks, Uganda Kobs, Hyenas and water bucks among others. In the afternoon hours you will participate in a launch cruise along Kazinga channel. You will appreciate the high scores of Elephants, and the highest concentration of Hippos, Buffalos and crocodiles. A number of bird species will also be seen along including the Great Pelicans. In the evening, you can have a guided community walk along the Kyambura rift before you retire for the day. You will have dinner and overnight still at Pumba Safari Cottages
Day 6: Memorable Chimpanzee trekking in Kyambura gorge and Scenic transfer to Entebbe-Transfer takes 6 hours.
Have an early morning breakfast and head to Kyambura gorge Forest for Chimpanzee trekking to meet man’s closet cousins in the wild. The stunning Kyambura (or Chambura) Gorge also called the “Valley of Apes” is located in the far eastern corner of the well- known Queen Elizabeth National Park in south western Uganda. The landscape is among the most impressive you will find in Uganda and it is swarmed a rich wildlife bio-diversity that comprises of primates, wild animals as well as birds. Later embark on an exciting road trip back to Kampala for PCR test, with lunch en route, arriving in the evening for refreshment, and later dinner and overnight at Airport Link Guesthouse
Day 7: Farewell Uganda with a Smooth transfer to Entebbe international Airport.
After having breakfast or lunch depending on your scheduled flight, you will be transferred back to Entebbe to readily check in and board your flight back home as you say fare well to the pearl of Africa!
