Our Uganda Safaris
Mountain Gorilla Trekking
One of Uganda’s most renowned safari experiences is gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest and Mgahinga Gorilla National Park. Home to nearly half of the world’s mountain gorilla population, Uganda offers the rare opportunity to get up close with these majestic creatures in their natural habitat.

Chimpanzee Tracking
Explore the lush forests of Kibale National Park, often called the “Primate Capital of the World,” where you can track and observe wild chimpanzees. Other parks, such as Budongo Forest and Kyambura Gorge, also offer exceptional chimpanzee tracking experiences.
Savannah Wildlife Viewing
Uganda’s savannah parks, like Queen Elizabeth National Park and Murchison Falls National Park, offer classic African wildlife safaris. Embark on game drives and spot lions, elephants, hippos, giraffes, and countless other species while taking in Uganda’s stunning natural beauty. The Kazinga Channel in Queen Elizabeth National Park is especially famous for its high concentration of hippos and crocodiles.

Birdwatching Paradise
With over 1,000 bird species recorded, Uganda is a birder’s paradise. From the elusive shoebill stork to colorful bee-eaters and kingfishers, Uganda’s diverse ecosystems support a wide variety of avian species. Birdwatching safaris are popular in wetlands like Mabamba Swamp and across national parks.
Adventure and Scenic Beauty
Beyond wildlife, Uganda’s landscapes are breathtaking. The country is blessed with a variety of natural features, including:
The Rwenzori Mountains, also known as the “Mountains of the Moon,” where intrepid hikers can scale Africa’s third-highest peak.
Murchison Falls, a dramatic waterfall where the mighty Nile River squeezes through a narrow gorge and plunges into the river below.
Lake Bunyonyi, a serene and picturesque lake surrounded by terraced hills, perfect for relaxation after a thrilling safari.
The Nile River, where adventure lovers can enjoy thrilling activities such as white-water rafting, bungee jumping, and kayaking in the lively town of Jinja.
Culture and People
Uganda’s safaris are not just about wildlife; they are also an opportunity to engage with its rich and diverse cultures. The country is home to over 50 ethnic groups, each with its own unique customs, traditions, and ways of life. Cultural encounters, such as visiting the Batwa pygmies near Bwindi or learning about the Karamojong warriors in the northeast, offer a deeper understanding of Uganda’s heritage.

When to Go
Uganda’s safaris can be enjoyed year-round, but the best time to visit for wildlife viewing is during the dry seasons: from June to August and December to February. These months offer optimal conditions for gorilla trekking and wildlife viewing as animals are more easily spotted near water sources. However, Uganda’s mild equatorial climate makes it possible to visit throughout the year.
Sustainable and Responsible Travel
Uganda is committed to conserving its wildlife and natural habitats, with eco-tourism initiatives aimed at promoting responsible travel. Visitors are encouraged to respect wildlife, follow ethical guidelines, and support conservation efforts to protect Uganda’s extraordinary biodiversity for future generations.
