The Days safari explores Rwanda’s Forested Park in the Virunga Volcanoes and involves walk into the forests of Volcanoes for the highlight of the safari-Mountain Gorillas. It also includes a visit to the Museum (Ellen DeGeneres Campus of Dian Fossey) and the Cultural Centre for an insight into the Rwandan culture
Day 1– To Volcanoes National Park
This morning you’ll meet your guide/driver at the Hotel for the drive north, leaving the city behind the increasingly hilly terrain culminating after around 2-3 hours in the foothills of Volcanoes National Park. On the way, you’ll pass a number of plantations interspersed by the occasional village, so if you’d like to stop to explore have a chat with your guide; the choice is yours. When you arrive at the lodge, check in and then visit a cultural centre- Gorilla Guardian’s Village and the museum.

Day 2– Gorilla Trekking and back to Kigali
Gorilla trekking in Rwanda’s Volcanoes National Park is a magical experience, transcending any other wildlife encounter we know. Meeting a gorilla family in their forest home, led by a dominant male silverback and a cluster of females and young, is a natural adventure that fully repays the cost in unforgettable memories and images. Your driver-guide from Kigali will operate your transfers to the park headquarters and introduce you to your trekking group and parks guide. After the trek, Drive back to Kigali. Your guide will drop you at the airport for your exit.
