Highlights

The 3-day Uganda mountain gorilla trekking safari starts in Entebbe and ends at Entebbe international airport in Uganda. It involves meeting eye to-eye with the magical mountain gorillas. This Uganda safari will take you to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest national park to meet eye to-eye with the endangered mountain gorillas.

Day 1: Drive to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest national park

On this day, after having breakfast, meet your English speaking safari guide dressed in uniform to have all luggage packed into the vehicle, check out of the hotel (0730 am) and then start your adventurous drive to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest national park situated in southwestern Uganda. On your way to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest national park, you will have a stopover at the Kayabwe equator landmark.

Thereafter, proceed with your journey to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park, where you will arrive in the evening to check in at your booked lodge, freshen yourself and spend your evening relaxing.

Dinner and an overnight.

Accommodation: Broadbill Forest Camp (Budget)

Meal plan: Lunch / Dinner

Day-2: Bwindi Impenetrable Forest national park – Mountain gorilla trekking experience

Wake up early (6am) to organize yourself and arrange the necessary equipment for mountain gorilla trekking, be transferred to the park information offices to be briefed about mountain gorilla trekking dos and don’ts, how to behave in the presence of mountain gorillas and the expectations, be allocated a mountain gorilla family to track, and get the ranger guides.

We would recommend you hire a porter to help you carry your packed bag and other items you would need during the mountain gorilla trek. Begin your forest walk in search of the endangered mountain gorillas in their natural habitats after a pre-mountain gorilla trekking session.

A mountain gorilla family can be made up of several members, such as the giant silverback, who is always the head and protector of the family, mothers, infants, and juveniles. After an hour with the mountain gorilla family, return to the trekking start point to receive your mountain trekking certificate in appreciation of your contribution towards the conservation of the endangered mountain gorillas in Uganda.
